Copyright Infringement Notification
HotVix respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement.
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide us with the following information:
Required Information for DMCA Notice
- Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized person
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material
- Contact information of the complaining party (address, telephone number, email)
- Statement of good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner
- Statement that the information is accurate and that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
Counter-Notification
If you believe that your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake
- Your consent to local federal court jurisdiction
- Your contact information
Repeat Infringers
We maintain a policy of terminating accounts of users who are repeat infringers of copyright or other intellectual property rights.
Users who repeatedly submit infringing content may have their accounts suspended or terminated.
False Claims
Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability for damages.
Before submitting a DMCA notice, please ensure that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner.
Our Response
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
- Notify the user who posted the content
- Provide the user with information about filing a counter-notification
- Restore the material if a valid counter-notification is received
